List of 33 top bullfighters in the world now set to compete for $140,000 this May
FORT WORTH, Texas — An immaculate season-high and record tying 93-point score for Madill, Oklahoma’s Dekevis Jordan stamped his ticket directly to the richest event in the history of freestyle bullfighting. In the finale of the first four qualifiers of 20 Ultimate Bullfighters (UBF) and PBR’s Bulls Gone Wild series events in 2022 this past Thursday night inside Cowtown Coliseum.
Jordan, along with three more qualifiers from April 21st including: Aaron Mercer (Calgary, Alberta) who won round 1 with 87 points; Trent King (Mineral Wells, Texas) who edged Austin Ashley by a single point at 88; and Ely Sharkey (Ainsworth, Nebraska) at 84 points have now set the stage.
Feeling the heartbreak but still with a shot via the qualifier is Wickenburg, Arizona’s Cauy Kraut who put up the second-best score of the year at 90.5 points, missing the cut to Jordan’s electric 93. Jordan tied 2020 UBF World Champion Chance Moorman for the highest marked bullfight in UBF history. Moorman went 93 in 2020 in Fort Worth against Chad Ellison’s Bull of the Year by the name This Little Piggy.
In the best Fort Worth Qualifier yet, 12 men put their lives on the line for the shot at what’s next. UBF, along with Professional Bull Riders (PBR) are bringing western sports fans an incredible addition to the PBR’s first World Finals in Fort Worth, Texas.

About Ultimate Bullfighters Inc. (UBF): Founded in 2008 by J.B. Mauney, Luke Kaufman and Chad Ellison; was created over a decade ago to promote the sport of freestyle bullfighting. In the action-packed sport of freestyle bullfighting, a bullfighter competes for 60 seconds against a fighting bull predominantly of Spanish descent in an effort to score points for maneuvers performed during the competition. Unlike traditional bullfighting, the animals are not harmed or killed. Bullfighters are judged solely on their ability to perform dangerous stunts as close to the bull as possible without getting hit. Having paid out over $1,000,000 since formation and over $500,000 in the past two seasons, UBF embarks on a new journey with a historic partnership with both the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Fort Worth, Texas including the UBF World Finals and an event series beginning in March 2022.
