Third-straight event title increases World Standings lead ahead of Fort Worth Freestyle to take place during PBR World Finals
SWAINSBORO, Georgia — In the third Ultimate Bullfighters (UBF) stand-alone event of the 2022 season, none other than 2020 World Champion Chance Moorman (Lytle, Texas) struck gold once again at the 2021 event of the year dubbed the Party in the Pines.
Moorman, who already led the 2022 UBF World Title race coming into the two-day Party in the Pines, increased his lead over World No. 2 Dekevis Jordan (Madill, Oklahoma). Having missed winning the 2021 World Title to eventual champion Knox Dunn, after bowing out of the Championship Round with an injury in Fort Worth, the 21-year-old bullfighter is making a stand heading into the richest event in the sports history.
In that Championship Round, Moorman would face the same bull that took him out of the finals in Fort Worth.
Fighting three bulls over the two-day event, he edged a surging star from Calgary, Alberta in Aaron Mercer by a half-point in the Championship Round. Moorman’s 88.5 was exactly one point better than his bout earlier in the night, an identical situation for Mercer.
“Man, Georgia is my second home, I may not live here but Chad Ellison does and he’s family so it makes it my home away from home if we aren’t in Texas,” Moorman said. “I love to be here, Georgia always treats me good.”
For Mercer, in two events since making his way into the UBF’s Bulls Gone Wild event at Cowtown Coliseum on April 21st, he’s made his way from not being ranked all the way up to rank No. 7. In doing so, he’s also punched his ticket to this week’s $140,000 bullfight.
Rounding out the Top 4 in Swainsboro were Colton Orcutt (Kersey, Colorado) and Jacorey Golden (Houston, Missouri) at 85.5 and 84 respectively.
Now, all eyes look to the next two weekends in Fort Worth during the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) World Finals.

About Ultimate Bullfighters Inc. (UBF): Founded in 2008 by J.B. Mauney, Luke Kaufman and Chad Ellison; was created over a decade ago to promote the sport of freestyle bullfighting. In the action-packed sport of freestyle bullfighting, a bullfighter competes for 60 seconds against a fighting bull predominantly of Spanish descent in an effort to score points for maneuvers performed during the competition. Unlike traditional bullfighting, the animals are not harmed or killed. Bullfighters are judged solely on their ability to perform dangerous stunts as close to the bull as possible without getting hit. Having paid out over $1,000,000 since formation and over $500,000 in the past two seasons, UBF embarks on a new journey with a historic partnership with both the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Fort Worth, Texas including the UBF World Finals and an event series beginning in March 2022.
